FAQs about The Organized Mom Planner

The Organized Mom Planner© is a digital planner that replaces a paper planner, and focuses on planning and tracking important aspects of your life like…

  • Family
  • Budgeting
  • Meal Planning
  • Cleaning
  • Journaling
  • Bible Study
  • Holiday Planning
  • and more!

The Undated version contains 600+ pages, while the Dated versions contain 800+ pages.

All versions contain hyperlinked buttons and tabs throughout for easy navigation and are all lag-free.

Our digital planner is a digital file that you can use within a digital planning app (like Goodnotes5, Notability, Noteshelf, Xodo, etc.) on your tablet device.

We recommend using GoodNotes 5, but the Organized Mom Planner works well in similar apps like Xodo, Noteshelf, Notability, and more! We are dedicated to coming out with video tutorials showing the import process for some of these popular apps soon.

You’ll need three things:

  • Tablet (you can use either an iPad or Android tablet device)
  • Digital planning app (GoodNotes 5, Notability, Xodo, Noteshelf, etc.)
  • Stylus (optional, but preferred for long-term use)

We also have customers that use their phone and a digital planning app without the need for a tablet or stylus, but for best performance, we recommend using a tablet.

Download the ZIP file from your order details e-mail after purchase onto a computer. You can UNZIP the file by double-clicking on it.

On your device (iPad, tablet, etc.), open GoodNotes 5.

In GoodNotes 5, click on NEW (the outlined rectangle at the mid-left of the screen). From the drop-down menu, select IMPORT.

Find your Organized Mom Planner PDF file from within your device (we recommend saving it to a location you’ll be able to easily find).

In GoodNotes 5, you can easily turn off the writing function to access buttons and hyperlinks by clicking on the icon at the top right that looks like a pencil with a line drawn through it.

Your editing and writing toolbar at the top with disappear, and you’ll then be able to click on any tab or hyperlinked button throughout your planner to easily navigate to the page or section you wish.

Here is a helpful video that shows you how to navigate the buttons and tabs in the Organized Mom Planner©, including helpful examples in the Lifestyle tabs.

To write in your planner, click that same icon at the top right (now it should look like a pencil drawing a circle) to access the writing and editing functions in GoodNotes 5.

With each purchase, you’ll receive three digital sticker files to accommodate your preferred way to use them:

  • GoodNotes file PDF
  • PDF
  • folder with individual PNGs

To use digital stickers, you can UNZIP the Digital Sticker Folder/files.

Save your digital stickers to a location on your tablet where you can easily find them – consider creating a folder just for stickers.

You can then use the split-screen function on your iPad (click the three dots at the very top of the screen within Goodnotes 5 and click on one of the drop-down icons). Your iPad will prompt you to open a second app to split-screen with GoodNotes 5 – choose the application where your digital stickers are stored (this may be the Files app). You can navigate to your digital stickers folder from there.

When you find the sticker you want to use, simply drag and drop them into your planner on the page you want.

We made a video to help show you how to use your digital sticker files on our TikTok channel:

Lagging refers to the time delays you can experience with digital planners and products when navigating to other pages.

For instance, when you click on a button to jump to another page and your planner takes several minutes to load the new page, this is called lagging.

For professionally made digital planners, this is not an issue, as is the case with our planner, the Organized Mom Planner©.

However, if you DO experience lagging, you may need to delete some files on your iPad/tablet as this can be an indication that you are using too much memory or space on your device, which will cause all apps, programs, and files to load slowly. This would not be an indication of lagging from our files and can be easily remedied by deleting unused files or excess pictures and folders on your device.

This is a great question, and it’s really easy to figure this out.

For iPads, the two PDF Annotation Apps we recommend are GoodNotes 5 (for long-term use) and Notability (free app that is great for beginners on a budget).

GoodNotes 5 requires a software version of 13 or higher, while Notability requires a software version of 14 and higher.

You can check your software version within the Settings app on your iPad. Navigate to ‘General’ and then ‘About’. Perform any updates as necessary to hit that software version requirement.

If you’re a visual person, here’s a quick video showing you how to check this:

@organizedmomplanner Reply to @kiarakwilliams how old is old af? 😆🤌 #digitalplanner #digitalplanning #organizedmomplanner #organizedmom #organizedmomlife #slayathomeplanners #momplanner #lifeplanner #ipadplanner #goodnotes5 #goodnotesplanner #ipadsettings ♬ original sound – Slayathomeplanners

Older iPads (5-6 years old) may not be able to update to a newer software version, and therefore, would not be compatible with the Organized Mom Planner, nor any other digital planner or planning app – but check yours before you swat away the idea of digital planning!

There are 2 major differences between the Undated OMP and Dated OMP:

  • template pages difference (the Dated version carries 200+ more template pages)
  • dates (the Dated version has everything filled out for you, including focus cleaning tasks each day)

If you prefer more freedom and flexibility in your schedule, we recommend the undated version of the Organized Mom Planner©.

But if you thrive on following a plan laid out for you so you can better maximize your efforts without feeling exhausted because you don’t know where to start – we recommend the dated Organized Mom Planner.
